This is probably the longest time it took me to sort out photos from my food shoots not because I don’t have enough photos that I can share but because I have to stop myself from sharing everything in one blog post! But seriously, this pit stop for our fifth resto during the Davao Food Crawl made me so excited to take photos and enjoy the dishes at the same time.
If you have been around the downtown area near Bangko Sentral, you might have noticed a juncture with a furniture display on the second floor and a resto so attractive outside. Its impossible to miss Katsu Country!
During the visit we tried some of their best dishes and new offerings:
The story behind Katsu Country is that has become a reflection of the owners passion to perfection and continuous improvement that is highly noticeable in the Japanese culture. That being in mind, each dish that is being offered in Katsu Country is being developed by consulting a culinary expert and even going as far as to travel to Japan to truly understand the traditional flavor and pattern the means to prepare the food.
Of course, it wont be a Katsu Country if they dont specialize in Katsudon which is a must-try whenever you visit. Its perfectly made that even it took us about an hour before eating the food (coz we have to take photos, you know) the coating is still crispy and crunchy! While unlike man You must also try their signature Shibuya Toast which is gratifying piece of lovely and equally tasty dessert.
For the adventurous side of you, Katsu Country continually offers new dishes that they incorporate in their regular menu to continually entice your taste buds and take you to Japan without leaving the city. So better keep yourself posted in their social media accounts and follow them!
