Celebrate Kadayawan with Dusitd2 Davao’s Food Offering

Would you call it a fiesta without food? I think not! The unique thing about the Kadayawan festival is highlighting the culture of the 11 tribes all with their unique culinary styles.

Dusitd2 Davao will be showcasing some of the known tribal dishes during their Festive Eats buffet from August 19 to 21. During this Kadayawan weekend, guests can enjoy a special buffet with a live cultural presentation at Madayaw Cafe.

A Taste of Davao in Hongkong

Taking this inspiration for the upcoming connectivity of Hongkong and Davao this October, Marco Polo Gateway in collaboration with Marco Polo Davao made a bold step to link two cities together with food. The Taste of Davao, a three-day culinary promotion, showcased the flavors from the eleven tribes of Davao as well as other Filipino favorite dishes at Three on Canton of Marco Polo Gateway. Recipes and dishes were presented by Marco Polo Davao’s Executive Chef Alex Destriza.

AirAsia Places Davao in Inflight Meal with Malagos Chocolate

As you may have seen in my social media accounts, Philippines AirAsia has introduced an addition to the Santan Combo in-flight meal—the Roasted Dalandan Chicken with Pimiento Sauce. It features Davao’s pride and an award-winning produce of Philippines, the Malagos Chocolate. The santan combo is created by Chef JP Anglo who aims to incorporate local Filipino flavour into your flight experience.

SM Lanang Premier Opens Food Hall

Davao’s SM Lanang Premier has introduced its very own Food Hall to bring more fun and flavours to the local food scene. Food Hall is located at the Northwing at the second level which can accommodate 350 seats with a contemporary and spacious dining area which will not only be a perfect hang out for family salu-salo but also for your gram-worthy squad goals!
