There is nothing more rewarding than eating on a personalized menu served by the chef himself on a quiet evening with your friends and in a cozy environment.
A few weeks ago, we got an invitation to try a private kitchen in Ladislawa Village together with some blogger friends. My first impression upon my arrival was to admire the beautifully-lit dining area where the appetizers and starters were already served in an 8-seater table.
Here is the menu we had for the evening:
Appetizers
1. Mixed greens with truffle raspberry vinaigrette and smoked salmon
2. Seared scallop in beurre blanc
3. Potato crusted scallops with wasabi mayo and ebiko
Main
1. Pork chop with sweet and sour peppers
2. Seared chicken in white wine
3. Gambas Pasta
4. Angus Ribeye steak
Dessert
1. Apple Crumble
2. Strawberry in Chantilly Cream with Truffle Chocolate Shavings
It is a wonderful idea to eat in a private kitchen especially when you wanted to try fine-dining dishes but on a casual and still cozy environment. It started out with one of the cook started preparing dishes for friends who eventually suggested to open his private kitchen to other people–so friends of friends came over and eventually, they have bookings from random people they do not even know.
So how does one dine in this kind of kitchen?
You may send a personal message in Mykie’s Private Kitchen’s Facebook account, or send them an SMS. The price of the menu depends on the dishes you wish to be included and the number of people that will dine (approximately Php1500 per person for a full-course meal ). Do take note that they need at least two days lead time to prepare and to get the freshest ingredients for you.
Food, service and the place is a recommended try! The cooks are not included in the menu though, dont get your hopes up. :p
