It’s the season for parties, get together and of course, eating! When Filipinos cook, it is their way of making someone feel at home and what a better way to make someone at home than to make them full!
Make this season extra special with this easy-to-do but yummy Creamy Beef with Jolly Mushroom and Penne, made by yours truly.
Ingredients:
½ stick (or ¼ cup) butter
4 tbsp vegetable oil
5 pcs red onion (or 2 large white onion), chopped
250 g beef loin, cubes
3 cans (284 g) Jolly Champignons Mushroom (pieces and stems)
Thyme
Pepper
¼ cup oyster sauce
1 250ml all-purpose cream
Penne pasta (cooked to instructions) or steamed rice
Procedure:
1. Cook pasta or prepare steam rice. Set aside.
2. Melt butter in the pan. Add the vegetable oil.
3. Saute onion and add beef. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add Jolly Mushrooms and allow to sweat.
5. Add thyme, pepper and oyster sauce. Allow to simmer before adding the all-purpose cream.
6. Serve with pasta or steamed rice. Serves 8-10.
