One of Davao’s most iconic tourist destinations has just celebrated its 25th year anniversary. Eden Nature Park is a short drive from downtown and it will take you to a cool breeze resort and closer to nature. Thanks to this resort, Davaoenos can truly live up to the ‘Highlands to Islands’ tourism tagline.
The celebration opened with a meaningful photo exhibit that featured some of the meaningful events that the resort had. It included its earlier years of developing the resort, welcoming beauty queens to hosting grand events. It was a treat to relive the events as if they happened yesterday!
Shortly, the formal program started and we were able to put a face to the people who have been behind the scenes and the hands who have worked hard to make Eden Nature Park the beautiful Eden that it is now. We were also reminded of the vision that the founding father Jesus V. Ayala (known as JVA) had when they built the company through the words of his son and JVA Group of Companies Chairman Miguel “Mike” Ayala.
The evening was made more memorable when San Jose Elementary School was renamed Jesus V. Ayala Elementary School. It was the community’s way of honoring the contribution made by the founding family and Eden Nature Park to Barangay Eden. The Ayala siblings Miguel, Lani, and Annmarie received the formal announcement from the Department of Education.
Celebrating with the Freshest Produce
I’d be honest to say that I was excited about the menu! My expectations are just met when we started the evening with the most wonderful Garden Salad with Tuna Nicoise and the most wonderful Tomato Cream Soup! It’s the freshest meal that you can have but, of course, what can you expect from the makers of the best produce in town!
We were treated to a wonderful dinner service by the Eden Nature Park team. I was so delighted with the food that I think I gained some weight after the sumptuous dishes. We ended the dinner with the perfect dessert trio of refreshing fresh fruits, sweet Pavlova, and Chocolate Gateau.
Ending an Evening with the Community
The celebration was truly intended to be attended by Eden’s closest clients, family, and the community where the resort grew to be loved and cherished. It was a heartwarming experience. The feeling resonates with the employees who were treated as family by the company for the last 25 years.
By the end of the night, we had a good laugh and great food! We had the best company that enjoyed the celebration. Our thanks to the JVA Group of Companies and Eden Nature Park for the night!
