Mediterranean Afternoon Pitstop at Shatter Kebab

Almost three years ago, I discovered this hole-in-the-wall Kebab place near F. Torres Street that serves one of the best kebab in the city (check old blog post here). So much have change just few months after that post–new location and better than ever menu choices but the same rewarding and satisfying feeling.
Shatter Kebab + Hummus is now located  at Davao Convention Compound just adjacent Yow Froz with a bigger seating capacity and better ambiance. A hole-in-the-wall no more, Shatter which is also known as Baba Ganoush, has evolved from a simple kebab place to a Mediterranean resto which added more dishes and choices in their menu. Food has refined from a street food-like option to a mid-range cafe ideal for casual dining or family dine out.
Shatter Kebab + Hummus was our first stop for our project with the  Davao Digital Influencers. The Davao Food Crawl is intended to help uplift homegrown restaurants and increase the food scene in Davao City through social media and of course, blog. With the help of our friend RJ Lumawag (Kape Diaries), Shatter agreed to partner and showcase their best-selling items and one upcoming dish in the menu.
Would a Shatter dining experience be complete without Kebab? Or Hummus?
The DFC visit made us try their new version of Shawarma which now made tastier with the smoked meat (smoked for at least 4 hours) and the equally interesting Shakshuka which is a dish made with poached egg in tomato sauce and other spices.
My take-away-s for our first pit stop?  Shatter is my ultimate go-to place to stress-eat less the guilt. In case you are unaware, Mediterranean cuisine is one of the healthiest cuisine  in the world. You can enjoy a tasty and flavorful dishes that do not require frying food in fat or putting so much fat in food to make it appetizing.
