Uplifting Davao Coffee Experience at Mugshots Wine and Cafe

March 19, 2019
Would coffee and wine go together? Can you marry café and a bar? The answer is quite simple and its yes. Nowadays, food and beverage allow us to be more exploratory and not follow the tradition in a rigid manner. But contrary to this mindset, Mugshots will both give a traditional and unorthodox dining and drinking experience.

Our third stop for the Davao Digital Influencers’ Davao Food Crawl gave us an opportunity to try two of Mugshots’ best dishes and two beverage highlights.
My take for this stop? Super tasty buffalo wings! The crispy skin and juicy meat of the chicken is not-to-miss. Worth to mention too is the buffalo sauce which gives the right kick of chili that hits the right senses! I love that dish! Another addition to their unconventional way of running the business, Mugshots owner Beauford explained that the development of their menu was based on the demand of their regular guests and to take on best practices in other countries where food-development is not geo-specific or cuisine based. Its takes a liquid form that adapts to the direction that trend is taking them.

Despite a non-rigid take on their food, their coffee experience is far from being unusual. Mugshots will allow you a deeper appreciation of coffee with the amount of research and exploration that the owner himself personally endeavor. Our food crawl provided us an experience to try a high-grade coffee beans from Panama, a Champion grade bean prepared on a pour-over method which enhances the flavor and allows you to appreciate the undertones and quality of beans, highlighting the plum, wine and cherry tastes.

The story of Mugshots continue to evolve as it permits the culture and lifestyle of the community to mold the path that their food and beverage will take.
