Three Reasons Why You Should Visit Café Angelo

April 6, 2021

Location, location, location.

One of the things I learned while working for a huge hotel company is that location matters and positioning with location matters even more! Dining out nowadays has totally shifted into a place where people can go and escape the four walls of their houses, or a place where they still feel safe without having to worry about anything and just to enjoy. It has to be located somewhere near and the place has to be of significance to you.

Café Angelo fits right into this description! Familiar, accessible, memorable. For many Tagumenyos, Molave Hotel has been a venue that hosted countless family milestones and gatherings and no other way to bring back those memories than with food but now being served with new flavors in a cozy restaurant just right at the doors of Molave.

New Flavors, one for every family member

Even though Café Angelo is being run by the same team from Molave Hotel, it is exciting to know that the menu consists of new dishes, family favorites but presented with a new twist and some exciting new items that will keep you wanting to come back.

I would like to personally recommend:

  • Squash and ginger soup – really refreshing and new flavor surprised that squash or pumpkin soup can taste like your law-oy but in a very uplifting way
  • Davao Tuna Kinilaw – a twist on the traditional restaurant-style; it kind of reminded me of the signature dish we have in my previous hotel 😉
  • Creamy Tuscan Garlic Chicken – best for kids (and kids at heart), I swear I ate the entire thing even though we had so much already!
  • Baked Herb Tuna Belly – good for the health-conscious people like your parents; just the right crisp on the outside and juicy flavor inside with the delicious aroma of garlic

The price is right, even better!

I would not give justice to this post without highlighting one of their selling point which is affordability! With a limited budget, you can bring your family and enjoy a hearty meal together. How affordable is affordable? Let’s take my recommendations into consideration:

  • Squash & Ginger Soup – Php78 (good for one but the serving can be good for two)
  • Davao Tuna Kinilaw – Php238 (can be shared by 2 to 4 persons)
  • Creamy Tuscan Garlic Chicken – Php198 (can be shared by 2 to 4 persons)
  • Baked Herb Tuna Belly – Php668 (can be shared by 3 to 4 persons)

Say you are on a date, you can easily get a full course meal good for two at around P700 or less.
