Festive Eats for Kadayawan at dusitD2

August 19, 2021

Kadayawan is one of the country’s unique festivals that do not only celebrate thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest within the region but it highlights the celebration of the 11 tribes that live harmoniously with one another despite diversity.

We are weathering this pandemic out by adapting to the new normal of continuing this cultural tradition that brings people together, united despite social distance. This year’s Kadayawan celebration may be a bit different from what we are used to but there will always be a good reason to dine and enjoy the flavors of Davao.

dusitD2’s Madayaw Cafe will be highlighting your favorite Filipino festival food and some new flavors from the specialty of the Davao tribes for their Festive Eats.

So while there are no parties, huge street dancing, fluvial parade, and colorful displays for this year, we will continue to celebrate Davao’s culture by appreciating its flavor at Madayaw Cafe starting today.

Don’t forget to try some of my personal favorites—Landang (beef in coconut milk), Piaren a seda (tuna appetizer), Kagikit (fish flakes) and Linotlot na Nonno (shrimps cooked in bamboo) and desserts like Durian fritters and Daral. Would it be Davao without the unlimited spread of pomelo? It’s in the buffet along with many festival food that you only enjoy this weekend!

Enjoy this special buffet spread from Aug 19 to 21, available from 5PM to 8PM at Php994 per person.
