Dusitd2 Davao's Kadayawan Food Offering

Would you call it a fiesta without food? I think not! The unique thing about the Kadayawan festival is highlighting the culture of the 11 tribes all with their unique culinary styles

August 6, 2022

August is a crazy busy month in Davao. Apart from the Christmas season in December, this is that period that we notice tourists or Filipinos coming home for vacation. It coincides with the summer season in countries in like the USA. Kadayawan is Davao’s festival which is one of the non-religious festivals in the country. It is proud to celebrate the rich heritage of the 11 indigenous tribes.

Dusit Davao recently launched its first Kadayawan event to highlight the upcoming festivities–the art, fashion, food, and continuing support for the Philippine Eagle. Guests were welcomed by the beats of the Kalumon Performing Ensemble. Together with GM Christoph Kuch, Cluster DOSM Lanie Merilo, and the team from Dusitd2 Davao, the event was well-attended by the local media, people from the society, and Dusit’s trusted partners and loyal guests.
